Organization details

A leading provider of power solutions in Uganda is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Person to join our team, responsible for promoting and selling construction equipment to customers in various industries. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the equipment market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction equipment market
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, while maintaining a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and agreements
  • Manage and maintain key accounts and business partners, ensuring excellent customer service and building long-term relationships.
  • Order equipment and manage inventory, whilst ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers.
  • In collaboration with the Credit controller the incumbent shall assist in Collecting payments and to manage debtors where the need arises.
  • Train clients on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Register all sold equipment into our CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Coordinate service and repairs, and provide after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Ensure warranty procedures are followed and implemented, minimizing potential disputes and issues.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A Degree from a recognized university in Mechanical, Electrical, automotive engineering, Agricultural or related field.

Details of experience

  • 2 -3 years of sales experience in a related industry (construction or industrial equipment)

Knowledge, skills and competences

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the equipment market and industry trends
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue goals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet to deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in work requirements or schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
