Job Description

To manage the security services function for Standard Bank South Africa Provincial Buildings by leading a team of security staff/managers and enable them to provide a complete efficient and effective security risk management solution.

  • Co-ordinate monthly risk assessments with measurements and recommendations to combat risks/threats at bank occupied buildings.
  • Mandated to manage the safety and security of staff at all bank occupied buildings which is of paramount importance.
  • Act proactively in identifying potential risks and safety hazards which could cause physical or reputational harm to the bank.
  • Assist in drawing up the relevant security service providers Service Level Agreements.
  • Monitor and check if the Human Capital process and requirements are being followed according to banks policies e,g, appraisals, one on ones, talent mapping and up keeping of staff personal files etc.
  • Check if the Security Standard Operational Procedures are being adhered to across the country.
  • Check if the entire department’s compliance training and network next tasks is completed as per banks polices.
  • Collaborate and network with emergency management services (EMS) on a regular basis with regards to criminal activity, crime stats and support.
  • Check if security managers/staff are interacting with the relevant crime fighting groups throughout the country e.g., security CIT companies, security body corporate and business against crime.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners e.g., Forensic investigators, security operations, governance and conformance and Specialised Security Support Services (4s) in terms of security awareness, processes and intelligence.
