Hospice Africa Uganda (HAU), founded in 1993, is a not-for-profit NGO offering palliative care in Uganda and across Africa. Supported by Ugandas Ministry of Health, HAU is registered with Uganda’s NGO Bureau and the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC) as a Health Centre IV. The organization’s vision is to provide “Palliative Care for all in need in Africa.”Available Positions:
1. Clinical Director – Makindye, Kampala (Full Time) Job Purpose: To lead and support clinical teams in delivering high-quality, sustainable palliative care. This full-time role also serves as a training post for those pursuing a career in Palliative Care. Specific Duties: • Provide medical assessments for new patients. • Contribute to Palliative Care research and publications. • Provide strategic direction on clinical matters. • Develop and implement departmental work plans and policies. • Audit and report on departmental performance. • Manage the clinical department budget and staff performance. Minimum Requirements: • Master’s in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Family Medicine. |

2. Marketing and Communications Officer – Makindye, Kampala
Job Purpose:
This role supports HAU’s mission by raising awareness and promoting its work through various media channels, including social media, websites, and traditional media.
Specific Duties:
• Manage social media and website content.
• Develop marketing materials and manage press relations.
• Create content and engage with donors, stakeholders, and supporters.
• Develop and implement a Communications and Marketing strategy.
