Job Title: Reconciliation Officer Intern

Job Summary:
ABC is seeking a Reconciliation Officer Intern to support our finance and operations team in ensuring
accurate transaction processing, reconciliation of financial records, and resolution of discrepancies. The
intern will gain hands–on experience in financial reconciliation, reporting, and data analysis within a
dynamic fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Regularly review and analyze payment transactions for any unusual or suspicious activity. This
includes looking for patterns that might indicate fraud, errors, or other discrepancies that could
lead to financial loss.
• When suspicious activities or errors are detected, escalate these to senior staff or the relevant
teams for investigation, creating reports to document findings and progress.
• Assist in daily reconciliation of transactions between bank accounts, agent records, and system
reports.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies by liaising with internal teams and financial
partners.
• Support the preparation of financial reports related to reconciliations and settlement processes.
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements in reconciliation workflows.
• Provide support in responding to reconciliation queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with other departments such as risk management, fraud prevention, and customer support
to address any concerns and help mitigate any issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,
Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem–solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial data analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team–oriented environment
• Hands–on experience in financial reconciliation within the fintech sector.
• Exposure to banking and payments systems operations.
