Job purpose
As a Travel Insurance Executive, your role will be to support the sales team in promoting
and selling travel insurance products to clients. You will play a crucial part in assisting
customers with their travel insurance needs, ensuring they have appropriate coverage
for their trips and providing excellent service throughout the sales process.
Duties and responsibilities
a. Sales Support: Support the sales team in achieving sales targets by generating
leads, following up on inquiries, and assisting with the preparation of
insurance quotes and proposals. Collaborate with the travel team to
customize insurance solutions for individual clients.
b. Policy Issuance and Documentation: Process travel insurance policy
applications, including completing necessary paperwork, collecting
payments, and issuing insurance certificates or documents to clients. Ensure
accuracy and completeness of documentation in compliance with
regulatory standards.
c. Customer Service: Provide responsive and proactive customer service to
address client inquiries, resolve issues, and handle policy amendments or

cancellations. Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, or in-
person meetings to deliver timely assistance and support.

d. Administrative Tasks: Assist in administrative duties such as maintaining client
databases, updating records, and organizing insurance documentation.
Coordinate with internal departments, underwriters, and finance to facilitate
policy issuance and excellent client servicing.
e. Customer Consultation: Assist clients in understanding their travel insurance
requirements by conducting thorough consultations to assess their travel
plans, risks, and coverage needs. Provide expert advice and guidance on
suitable insurance products and options.
f. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the insurance
company’s travel insurance policies, coverage benefits, exclusions, and

pricing structures. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements,
and changes in insurance products
g. Look out for new Travel Agencies for enrolment, while building and managing
relationships
h. Ensure monthly travel bookings, invoices, premium collections, and
commission payments.
i. Prepare monthly travel reports and submit them to the Travel Manager.
Qualifications, Skills/Experience & Personal Attributes
a. Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant field
b. At least 2 years work experience in the insurance industry
c. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
d. Computer Literacy
e. Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
f. Demonstrate good organization skills.
g. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
h. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
i. Knowledge of insurance industry operations and processes is advantageous.
j. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to
detail.
k. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and
discretion.
l. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced
environment.
m. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
n. Professional demeanor, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact
