Sanlam Investments East Africa Ltd (SIEAL) is a leading regional fund manager with a proven track record in service delivery and performance. SIEAL is seeking an analytical and confident Investments Analyst to support its Investments Department.

Position Overview:

The Investments Analyst will play a key role in supporting the investment team and committee. Responsibilities include conducting research, developing strategy, financial modeling, preparing presentations, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on investment opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments.
• Develop financial models to aid in investment decision-making.
• Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes in African markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and support investment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external risk, regulatory, and company policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as outlined in annual performance objectives or assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role within the fund management industry.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Investment Management, such as CFA, are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with financial databases and tools like Bloomberg and Reuters.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent understanding of investment strategies and asset classes.
• Ability to stay updated on financial markets and economic trends.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
