Role Overview

The Head of Enterprise Risk Management will establish and oversee the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. This role involves setting policies, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to align risk management with corporate strategy. The incumbent will support senior management and the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) in balancing risk-taking capabilities with the bank’s approved risk appetite to protect and enhance corporate value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Ensure risk management aligns with corporate strategy and provides direction for resource allocation.
• Support senior management and the BRMC in mitigating risks to acceptable levels.
• Assist the BRMC and senior management in aligning the organization’s risk-taking capabilities with its risk appetite.
• Facilitate the monitoring, reporting, and mitigation of enterprise risks.
• Provide analysis and insights to senior management and the Board on risk-related matters.
• Keep abreast of current trends and practices in risk management, business, and corporate governance.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

• A master’s degree in a business-related field.
• Certification as an Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP) or equivalent.

Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience in banking, with 5 years in senior management roles in internal controls, audit, or risk management, preferably in the financial/banking sector.
• Experience reporting to boards or senior management committees.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of various functional/departmental requirements.
• Expertise in analyzing and reviewing reports and delivering presentations to senior management.
• Knowledge of current business and management trends.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
