Job Summary
The Graduate Trainee-Performance Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of investment portfolios. This role involves close collaboration with portfolio managers and the investment team to provide data-driven insights and performance measurement that drive investment decision-making and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze investment portfolio performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Conduct investment credit risk reporting for shareholder, policyholder, and third-party funds.
- Formulate and maintain investment performance policies aligned with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
- Perform quality checks on raw operational data to ensure accurate client asset valuation and returns.
- Oversee updates to performance-based fees and analyze competitor returns from actuarial surveys.
- Update liquidity monitoring sheets and ensure compliance with portfolio limits.
- Run monthly FUM (Funds Under Management) and NCCF (Net Cashflow Contribution) reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to URBRA limits, compliance regulations, and risk management protocols.
- Contribute to research and propose investment options in collaboration with the Chief Investment Officer.
- Participate in investment committee meetings and provide insights for decision-making.
- Maintain awareness of investment market trends, economic shifts, and regulatory updates.
- Generate quarterly reports for the OMIG Credit Committee.
- Attend client meetings when necessary and undertake other tasks as directed.
Skills and Competencies
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in MS Excel and financial modeling.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges with innovative solutions.
- Communication Skills: Effective presentation and reporting skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid foundation in Economics, Finance, and Mathematical Computation.
- Risk Management: Knowledge in credit risk reporting and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (required).
- Experience: Previous experience in Fund Management is an added advantage.
