Job Description

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for driving the planning, execution, and evaluation of all Nation Media Group events. The role is aimed at generating revenue and delivering memorable experiences while fostering stakeholder relationships and enhancing brand visibility. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments and ensure seamless event delivery, aligning all initiatives with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Execution:
    • Coordinate high-impact events and activations to captivate audiences and attract sponsors.
    • Develop strategic event plans with clear objectives, target audience insights, and detailed budgets.
    • Create and manage an annual events calendar aligned with NMG’s brand strategy.
  • Brand Alignment & Innovation:
    • Maximize event reach by integrating digital elements, including social media and online broadcasts.
    • Ensure all events—from concerts to corporate gatherings—align with business priorities.
    • Work with internal teams to provide a cohesive, cross-platform experience.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Maintain a database of clients, sponsors, and audience feedback to refine event strategies.
    • Collaborate with Brand, Commercial, and Production Managers to develop profitable event products.
    • Build strong vendor relationships to ensure high-quality event components.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Regularly evaluate engagement metrics, market trends, and audience insights.
    • Conduct post-event reviews to assess performance, client satisfaction, and revenue impact.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead the Activations team, setting clear goals and ensuring accountability.
    • Foster a collaborative environment encouraging creativity, innovation, and high standards.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Academic Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or Business-related fields from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, executing, and evaluating revenue-driven events.

Key Competencies:

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and financial tracking capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, focusing on client service and relationship building.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and composure under pressure.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media for event promotion (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the media industry and cross-platform event promotions is an added advantage.
