Job Description:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse management, ensuring efficient operations across Inbound, Inventory, Outbound, and After-Sales departments to meet KPIs and targets. This role involves process standardization, optimization, and implementing improvements to enhance the overall efficiency of Jumia Services’ warehousing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Establish KPIs and implement simple systems for performance evaluation and improvement.
  • Use order life analysis to monitor the end-to-end warehouse process and improve operational efficiency.
  • Continuously refine warehouse operations processes and design dashboards to identify operational bottlenecks.
  • Oversee daily reporting on backlog, incidents, change/problem tickets, and SLA status.
  • Coordinate with technical and local teams on all matters related to warehousing systems.
  • Control Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations.

Finance, Stock, Fulfillment, and Warehousing:

  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of all financial processes related to warehousing for month, quarter, and year-end.
  • Implement processes to prevent stock loss, ensure accurate stock counts, and investigate any variances thoroughly.
  • Ensure effective stock management tools and processes are in place across Jumia’s online shops.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain, Economics, or Engineering.
    • Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 6 years in FMCG, E-commerce, or warehouse management.
    • Proven ability in data reporting and analysis.
    • High comfort level in logistics operations.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment best practices and an understanding of customer and seller behavior.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Self-driven with strong independent follow-through ability.
    • Strong entrepreneurial skills, leadership qualities, and motivation.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
