Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Account Management: Monitor and manage assigned accounts to track overdue payments.
- Customer Contact: Reach out to borrowers via phone, email, or mail to discuss their accounts and arrange repayment plans.
- Negotiation: Set up repayment terms and schedules with borrowers for efficient debt recovery.
- Payment Processing: Process payments and update account records accurately.
- Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of all collections activities and communications.
- Reporting: Generate and submit regular reports on collection activities, outstanding debts, and recovery performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all collections actions comply with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the underwriting and other teams to resolve loan repayment issues.
- Customer Service: Offer excellent service by professionally addressing borrower inquiries and concerns.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend strategies to improve the collections process and enhance recovery rates.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a call centre, credit analysis, accounting, or underwriting.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; familiarity with lending products, financial services, and CRM software.
