Sokoni Africa Limited, a prominent enterprise in hospitality and real estate, is looking for a friendly and efficient Hotel Receptionist to join their team. This role will be based at Le Petit Village, a boutique hotel operated by Sokoni Africa, known for its warm hospitality and elegant atmosphere. The receptionist will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.


Job Summary

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for welcoming them, handling check-in and check-out procedures, and managing any inquiries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception: Greet guests warmly and ensure a smooth check-in process.
  • Reservations Management: Handle bookings, update reservation systems, and confirm details with guests.
  • Guest Services: Answer guest questions and provide information on hotel amenities and nearby attractions.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Address guest complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments and ensure all guest records are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally.
  • Organization and Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
