Job Summary:

Next Media is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our media production team. This role involves editing raw footage into polished videos that align with our company’s vision, ensuring high-quality content across multiple platforms such as social media, TV, and websites. The ideal candidate will excel in sequencing, transitions, color grading, and effects integration, creating engaging content for a variety of audiences.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing: Edit raw footage into final cuts suitable for various platforms, maintaining high quality and logical sequencing.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work with creative teams, producers, and directors to understand project requirements and goals.
  • Incorporate Enhancements: Add music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to enrich visual storytelling.
  • Color Correction and Grading: Ensure consistency and visual appeal through color correction and grading.
  • Project Management: Manage end-to-end video editing projects, ensuring timely completion and maintaining organized project files.
  • Industry Updates: Stay informed about the latest editing software, techniques, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing past work.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and basic animation is a plus.
  • Post-Production Skills: Solid understanding of video formats, file conversions, and post-production workflows.
  • Creative Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in cinematography or directing is a plus, along with knowledge of video compression and web formats.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time; 8 hours per day.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required, though a portfolio of past work is essential.
