Job Summary:
Uganda Airlines is seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Trainee in Finance. This role is designed for recent graduates who will undergo on-the-job training and participate in formal training sessions across various finance units. The successful candidate will support the finance and accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks and contributing to financial reporting and analysis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in on-the-job and formal training sessions across different finance units.
- Provide support to the finance and accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks.
- Assist in reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other assigned tasks.
- Update financial data in Oracle Fusion Financial Management and custom databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly and quarterly closings.
- Contribute to various accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (First Class or Upper Second-Class Honors) in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Recent Graduates: Candidates who completed their degrees between 2022 and 2024 are encouraged to apply.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be no more than 25 years of age at the time of application.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Mindset: Results-driven with a focus on achieving goals and objectives.
