Uganda Airlines is Uganda’s national flag carrier, providing quality air transport services. As a Passenger Check-in Agent, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring passengers have a smooth experience during the check-in process.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to workplace rules and regulations.
  • Conduct passenger check-ins at ticket counters or gates, issuing boarding passes.
  • Manage baggage check-ins, tagging bags to appropriate destinations.
  • Coordinate with ramp personnel on baggage handling to ensure all bags are loaded correctly.
  • Address customer issues related to ticketing, baggage, delays, and cancellations.
  • Send passenger service messages to the next station.
  • Announce flight activities at gates or over the airport PA system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about flight schedules, fares, and availability.
  • Communicate with flight crews on the ground and via ground-to-air radio.
  • Coordinate with airport suppliers regarding specific flight information.
  • Ensure ancillary revenue is accurately collected and accounted for.
  • Send departure and arrival flight movement messages.
  • Assist transit passengers and provide necessary information.
  • Accommodate passengers with special needs, including wheelchair assistance, unaccompanied minors, medical cases, and first-time travelers.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education: University degree or diploma with experience in airport handling operations, especially in passenger services or customer handling.
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year in an airline environment.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of safety, security, and procedural obligations in the airline industry.
