Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales/Operational Leadership:
   • Provide strategic direction and leadership to sales and operational teams.
   • Ensure alignment with the company’s overarching goals and objectives.
2. Sales Optimization:
   • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains across all sales functions, including order fulfillment and inventory management.
3. Vendor and Partner Management:
   • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners.
   • Optimize service levels and negotiate contracts to drive operational excellence.
4. Team Development:
   • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing operational team.
   • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Performance Monitoring:
   • Develop and implement KPIs to monitor operational performance and drive accountability for results.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
   • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
   • Develop strategies to mitigate operational risks effectively.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience working in fast-growing tech startups or launching new products within a larger organization.
• Strong understanding of the eCommerce and shipping markets in Africa.
• Ability to scale a cross-functional team by 10x.
• Experience in building HR, Finance, and Ops functions.
• Proficiency in data analysis and operational metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail, even under pressure and tight deadlines.

Bonus/Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in eCommerce or logistics in Africa or the Middle East.
• An MBA degree.
