Job Description:
MTN Uganda is seeking a Specialist – Remittances & Interoperability to drive commercial and technical execution in the interoperability space. The role involves cross-functional and external collaboration to deliver international remittances and interoperability products in line with the annual roadmap and business performance goals.
Reporting to: Manager International Remittances and Interoperability

Mission/Core Purpose of the Job:
To lead the execution and delivery of interoperability initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate agile product integration and delivery projects with quality assurance.
- Plan and manage the end-to-end implementation of interoperability products.
- Design, document, and test interoperability solutions based on market needs.
- Foster innovation to align with market trends and customer demands.
- Manage both internal and external stakeholders for interoperability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, legal, marketing, operations, finance) to achieve business goals.
- Oversee interoperability operations and marketing activities.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with partners.
- Conduct routine checks, monitoring, and reporting for all interoperability services.
- Ensure an excellent experience for customers and partners using interoperability services.
- Work with regional teams to grow the interoperability business.
- Collaborate with trade marketing teams to ensure proper placement of marketing collateral.
- Manage the onboarding of interoperability partners efficiently.
- Conduct market visits to increase awareness and usage.
- Handle partner complaints and escalate issues as needed.
- Organize product and business performance review meetings.
- Report on business performance and other operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in project management, key account management, telecommunications, insurance, banking, or mobile money.
- Proven experience managing multi-national relationships.
- Knowledge of international remittances and foreign exchange.
- Strong project management, delivery knowledge, and quality assurance.
- Exposure to working with IT delivery teams.
