Job Overview

We are seeking two competent and experienced Sales Managers to drive sales growth and expand market reach for products such as TMT Bars, Chain Link Fencing, Binding Wire, Barbed Wire Fencing. The Sales Managers will be responsible for identifying potential customers, developing marketing campaigns, and nurturing client relationships to achieve sales targets. The role reports to the Head of Sales.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and monitor sales performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure sales targets and collections are met.
  2. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with clients, preparing proposals and sales agreements in accordance with company policies.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with dealers, contractors, and clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  4. Identify potential customers and market segments through market research and industry analysis.
  5. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote products and increase brand awareness.
  6. Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting key features and value propositions.
  7. Generate leads, follow up on inquiries, and qualify prospects through outbound calls, emails, and networking.
  8. Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials to support sales efforts.
  9. Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to generate leads and increase sales conversions.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements that could impact marketing efforts.
  11. Develop product positioning strategies for various steel products targeting specific industries such as construction and infrastructure.
  12. Maintain a professional image in all internal and external communications.
  13. Provide regular reports to management on campaign outcomes and strategic recommendations.
  14. Foster strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the steel industry.
  15. Contribute to the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans to support business growth.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the steel manufacturing industry, particularly TMT Bars, Chain Link Fencing, Binding Wire, Barbed Wire Fencing.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a similar sales or marketing role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market data and campaign performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinking, aligning marketing initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in audience engagement and budget constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Technical proficiency in relevant tools and software.

Work Conditions:

  • Work Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Duty Station: Jinja, Uganda
