Job Overview

Zenith Steel Fabricators Ltd, a leading firm specializing in the design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel works, is seeking three competent and experienced Technical Sales Engineers to join their team in Kampala, Uganda. The Technical Sales Engineers will be responsible for providing technical support, building strong customer relationships, and driving sales of steel solutions while delivering exceptional customer service.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an excellent understanding of all Zenith Steel products.
  • Proactively identify and engage in sales of Zenith Steel solutions, focusing on targeted customers.
  • Read and understand commercial contracts and terms stated in RFQs.
  • Develop and manage new sales channels, meeting monthly volume targets for steel building solutions.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, customers, and partnerships.
  • Track inquiries, conversions, and ensure timely billing and payment collection as per contract terms.
  • Develop relationships with architects, quantity surveyors, civil/structural engineers, contractors, and key end-users (including government agencies and private organizations).
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Liaise with internal teams to develop new propositions for customers.
  • Generate leads, cold call prospective customers, and meet with clients (virtually or face-to-face) to offer tailored solutions.
  • Document all required information for each project site through technical reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales or project sales of industrial products/solutions (PEB, structural steel, roofing, etc.).
  • Sales engineering and customer service skills.
  • Proven experience in networking with builders, architects, engineers, and contractors for marketing building solutions/products.
  • Knowledge of construction technology and the roofing industry is a plus.

Work Conditions:
