Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Officers will support the Uganda Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Antiretroviral Therapy (UPART) Cohort study at the assigned duty station, focusing on data collection and storage. They will also assist the Data Officer in resolving data queries, managing study documentation, and ensuring effective implementation of study protocols.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality execution of all aspects of the UPART study in accordance with the approved study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist in data collection and storage, ensuring all information is properly managed.
- Collaborate with the Data Officer to resolve data queries and maintain study documentation.
- Ensure adherence to ethical conduct and confidentiality when handling study participants.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or a related field, with a valid registration/license from the appropriate regulatory authority.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a busy research institution, with a strong background in handling study participants.
- Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subject Protection (HSP), with knowledge of HIV/AIDS care and management as an added advantage.
- A good command of English and the local language of the preferred duty station is essential.
