Job Overview
The Telehandler Operator is responsible for operating telehandlers to move materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and construction sites. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and effective communication with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers to move materials efficiently.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies from trucks or other vehicles.
- Transport materials to designated areas using forks, booms, or other attachments.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the telehandler.
- Ensure the telehandler is clean and maintained in good working condition.
- Follow site safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks.
- Identify and report any operational issues or hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating telehandler machines.
- Valid Operator’s License for heavy machinery.
- Proficiency in operating telehandlers and understanding their attachments.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members.
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
