Job Summary:
Educate!, an award-winning non-profit social enterprise, seeks a dynamic, self-driven, and enterprising Field Operations Coordinator to join their high-performing Field Operations Team in Uganda. Reporting to the Senior Field Operations Manager, the Coordinator will oversee field logistics for VIP bootcamps, manage the mentor help line, and ensure effective coordination across program implementation departments. They will also play a crucial role in mentor recruitment, tracking, and performance oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Logistics Coordination (50%):
- Timely processing of field requisitions and airtime disbursements.
- Ensure mentor stipends and field materials are disbursed as per schedule.
- Oversee VIP allocation and mentor list updates.
- Maintain a mentor database, tracking drops and recruitment.
- Mentor Recruitment Oversight (30%):
- Lead mentor recruitment strategy and ensure alignment with program needs.
- Track mentor numbers and documentation.
- Collaborate on mentor onboarding and information management.
- Mentor Performance Oversight (20%):
- Collaborate with performance metrics and M&E teams to track mentor KPIs.
- Identify and address mentor training gaps.
- Provide timely performance feedback to mentors.
- Mentor Help Line (20%):
- Lead monthly capacity-building plan reviews.
- Coordinate training schedules and run regional induction sessions.
- Address reporting challenges through capacity-building training for Youth Leaders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in development work, managing diverse teams (NGO, youth-related work, volunteers, schools, etc.).
- Knowledge of finance and taxation. Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
- Prior experience in the education sector in East Africa is preferred.
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and project planning skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high integrity and team orientation.
