Job Overview:
AEGY Uganda is welcoming applications for a Graduate Finance Intern. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting while working under the supervision of the accountant.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; or a diploma in the same.
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data in both statistical and narrative forms.
- Capable of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and computer skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of the accountant to collect, understand, process, verify, and report accounting-related information to the vertical head.
- Provide professional analytical and management support through various assignments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports.
- Develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases, and other computer applications.
- Manage specialized information, reports, and forms related to fees, billing, and tracking of projects.
- Enter information into the financial accounting system of the organization.
Education Requirement:
- No specific requirements; a degree or diploma in relevant fields is preferred.
Job Experience:
- No prior experience required.
