Job Overview:
The Lifting Supervisor will oversee all lifting operations on the project site, ensuring they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company policies. This role will involve working closely with crane operators, riggers, and other personnel to ensure the safe execution of lifting activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Load Lifting Operations:
- Dimension lifting accessories (e.g., beads, shackles, chains) and create/update load schematics using AutoCAD.
- Accurately calculate loads and interpret load diagrams to ensure safety.
- Coordinate and supervise lifting activities according to the approved lifting plan.
- Ensure only registered crane operators, certified signalers, and riggers participate in lifting operations.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Verify ground conditions for safety and ensure crane operators perform daily equipment checks.
- Brief crane operators, riggers, and signalmen on safe lifting procedures and monitor adherence.
- Validate certificates and maintenance inspections for lifting machines.
- Ensure compliance with safe lifting procedures and address any unsafe conditions.
- Attend daily toolbox meetings for effective consultation and coordination before work commences.
- Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure lifting operations comply with relevant regulations and adhere to the company’s Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHEQ) policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas or civil construction industry.
- Proven track record in lifting operations.
- Certifications:
- Completion of a Lifting Supervisors Safety course (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (APLO) certification as per regulatory requirements.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Experience in load planning, lifting equipment selection, and risk assessment.
- Hands-on experience supervising lifting teams and coordinating activities.
- Successful completion of recognized Rigging and Signalman courses.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills for managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Proficient in load calculation software and AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Experience in lifting equipment inspection and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Work Hours:
8 hours per day
