Job Overview:
The Quality Control Manager will oversee project development procedures to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are met. This includes developing and analyzing statistical data, managing subcontractors, and coordinating quality control activities across the project lifecycle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish project standards and ensure reliability.
- Support construction roles in managing and controlling subcontractors.
- Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
- Issue relevant Work Procedures, Technical Queries, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with the Production team to analyze non-conformities and propose corrective measures.
- Formulate and maintain quality control standards and objectives.
- Coordinate tracking systems for material identification and approval.
- Supervise equipment calibration management.
- Support and participate in internal/external audits.
- Align quality objectives with production procedures to enhance product reliability and minimize costs.
- Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Communicate the quality control philosophy to key personnel.
- Allocate quality control personnel to various site activities and supervise inspection activities throughout the production cycle.
- Apply total quality management tools for analysis and reporting.
- Supervise inspections, reports, and documentation issued by inspectors and collect required Quality Records.
- Design, develop, and assess the implementation of Quality Plans and quality control training programs.
- Investigate and address customer issues related to quality.
- Support the construction manager in client interactions concerning quality matters.
- Supervise Quality Control functions, including inspection schedules, to ensure high productivity and technical integrity.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Education:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Additional qualifications in quality system implementation and concrete quality control are required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of work experience, with in-depth knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and legal standards.
- At least 5 years of experience managing large-value Onshore Projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience developing and reviewing project quality plans, contract documents, and project specifications.
- Experience with test pack preparation and handover documentation.
- Experience in conducting and organizing internal/external QMS audits.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in applying total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
