Job Summary:
The IT Intern-Client Services will be part of the larger Client Services Section (CSS) team, gaining exposure to the United Nations Entebbe Campus network. This internship provides practical client support, service delivery skills, and insight into CSS strategies within the Regional Service Centre, Entebbe (RSCE).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Job shadowing in Client Relations & Knowledge Management and Client Support Units.
  • Design and deliver MS PowerBI solutions for managerial decision-making.
  • Develop and manage MS Excel-based data structures for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and applications.
  • Design client service surveys and analyze results.
  • Draft client service reports using Microsoft 365 Office applications.
  • Perform quality assurance for automated processes in Client Service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues for client service tools.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Applicants must either:
    • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, or related fields; or
    • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree (minimum bachelor’s level).
  • Experience: No prior working experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and office equipment is desirable. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI and Excel is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
