Underwriting Graduate Trainee Medical

The Underwriting Graduate Trainee Medical is responsible for assessing and evaluating insurance applications, analyzing risks, and determining appropriate coverage and premiums. This role involves making informed decisions based on risk assessment and underwriting guidelines to ensure profitability and maintain a balanced portfolio for the insurance company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and send medical quotations by applying actuarial knowledge to provide a dynamic, customer-centric pricing model.
- Prepare quarterly usage reports and scheme analysis for ongoing clients.
- Monitor risk and provide business insights to the Head of Medical or Senior Underwriter.
- Participate in renewal notice sharing, which may include renewal negotiations and pricing.
- Contribute to product development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, underwriting standards, and company policies, and adhere to ethical practices.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science (Required)
