Digital Product Manager

The Digital Product Manager will oversee and coordinate multiple product pilots within Village Enterprise. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong report-writing experience, and the ability to manage multiple agile projects. The successful candidate will support the development, rollout, and adoption of digital solutions for last-mile users, contributing to the success of Village Enterprise’s poverty graduation program.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the Digital Product Manager in driving product strategies and developing digital solutions for last-mile microentrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Maintain updated documentation, plans, and reports for digital solutions initiatives.
- Evaluate and analyze user needs through various data sources.
- Coordinate with external providers to implement the best-fit solutions for Village Enterprise’s entrepreneurs.
- Support user research, usability studies, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
- Ensure the smooth implementation and scaling of digital solutions across the program iterations and priorities.
- Build key relationships with cross-functional teams to address adoption and scaling challenges.
- Assist in managing delivery, capacity building, and integration of digital solutions within the Technology Solutions team.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Monitor digital equipment to ensure safeguarding policies are upheld.
- Ensure compliance with Village Enterprise’s safeguarding policies and Code of Conduct in all operations.
- Report any child or adult safeguarding incidents for appropriate action.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience coordinating or managing digital products in an agile, multi-cultural environment.
- Experience in planning, prioritization, research, and implementing digital products for remote rural populations.
- Strong communication, report writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience in human-centered design approaches and usability testing.
- Passion for building impactful digital solutions for last-mile populations with limited infrastructure.
Work Hours: 8 hours per day
