Job Description:
UNCDF is seeking a Program Analyst for the Local Climate Adaptive Living Facility (LoCAL) to manage and deliver program activities effectively. This role involves working with various stakeholders to support climate resilience investments and ensuring the successful implementation of LoCAL programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Programme Management:
    • Contribute to development and implementation of LoCAL country programs.
    • Provide technical assistance and manage consultants.
    • Strengthen monitoring and evaluation systems and track progress.
    • Liaise with stakeholders and support private climate finance access.
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation procedures.
    • Ensure effective use of LoCAL Management Information System (MIS).
    • Coordinate evaluations and provide quality control.
  3. Knowledge Management and Learning:
    • Organize learning and capacity-building activities.
    • Prepare knowledge products and contribute to communication plans.
  4. Quantum Knowledge:
    • Monitor and analyze project data.
    • Ensure timely and quality contributions to Quantum project management modules.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education: Master’s degree in International Relations, Environment, Climate Change, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. A Bachelor’s degree with additional experience is also considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) in climate change, environmental management, or similar fields. Experience in program/project development, M&E, and RBM is required.
  • Desired Skills: Experience in local-level environmental/development programs, M&E systems for climate adaptation, and familiarity with Quantum is desirable.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required.
