Job Description:
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will engage in a structured training program to gain practical experience in the operations of a hydroelectric power plant. The role focuses on developing technical, operational, and analytical skills by assisting in monitoring plant systems, performing inspections, and supporting efficient power generation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Operate and monitor the hydro plant’s systems, including turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Collect and maintain operational data, and prepare performance reports.
- Operate plant control systems under supervision and monitor real-time data.
- Participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or control system issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Support technical and safety training programs.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Two years’ experience in an engineering environment.
- Valid driving permit is an advantage.
