Job Summary:

The Manager–Business Intelligence & Planning is responsible for delivering key advanced data analytics projects, driving data-driven pricing and innovative solutions to improve the company’s data platform developments and efficiency. This role will directly contribute to the achievement of business targets and optimize processes within the Business Intelligence division.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support Shareholder Return Strategy: Implement processes aligned with achieving business scorecard goals, including growing market share, ICT & data revenue, EBITDA margins, and subscriber additions.
  2. Process Optimization: Automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability to reduce the divisional budget by at least 5% year-on-year.
  3. Customer Solutions: Serve MTN UG’s customers, improving the customer experience and Net Promoters Score.
  4. Data Pipeline Development: Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and repeatable data pipelines to meet business needs.
  5. Collaboration: Work with other division units in demand management, platform shutdowns, migrations, and in-house delivery to achieve business targets.
  6. Adhere to Data Management Standards: Follow data management policies and procedures to manage risks related to data.
  7. Professional Development: Continuously develop skills in the evolving digital landscape.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in Software Development and Data Science projects within a large organization.
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies is advantageous.
  • Detailed working knowledge of data governance and standards.
