Job Summary:
The IT Officer will manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation of all technology systems. Responsibilities include technical support, network administration, system management, data management, and contributing to IT projects.
Reports to: I.T Manager
Department: Information Technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot IT-related problems.
- Install and maintain hardware, software, systems, and printers.
- Network Administration:
- Manage LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system reliability.
- Implement security measures including firewalls and antivirus software.
- System Administration:
- Maintain company servers and ensure regular backups.
- Manage user accounts and permissions.
- Software Management:
- Install, update, and maintain company software.
- Provide software training to staff.
- IT Projects:
- Participate in IT system upgrades and migrations.
- Develop and implement IT policies.
- Data Management:
- Ensure data security and perform regular backups.
- Maintain company databases.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain IT system documentation.
- Generate performance and issue reports.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Certifications like CCNA or ITIL V4 preferred.
Experience and Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in IT support and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies.
