Job Summary:

Health Access Connect (HAC) is looking for a Human Resource Officer to create a conducive working environment and manage HR operations. The HR Officer will recruit, support, and develop policies and provide administrative support to the Finance and Administration Manager.

About HAC:

HAC links remote communities to healthcare through programs such as Medicycles, Technical Advising, and Treat & Teach, which focus on delivering healthcare services to underserved areas.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment processes: posting job adverts, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
  • Maintain employee records (both hard and soft copies).
  • Implement HR initiatives and policies.
  • Draft staff contracts and support in their understanding.
  • Manage leave databases and handle medical insurance processes.
  • Compile HR data related to payroll, ensuring monthly updates.
  • Facilitate staff training and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure legal compliance of employment conditions and staff welfare.
  • Handle disciplinary processes and exit administration.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Industrial & Organizational Psychology.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of HRMS is a plus, excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Compensation:

  • Salary: UGX 2,000,000/= before taxes.
  • Health insurance for you and your immediate dependent.
  • Field travel expenses will be covered by HAC.
