Job Description:
Under the direction of the Senior Finance Officer – Payables, the Finance Volunteer is responsible for assisting the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. The role follows IRC’s policies and procedures, adhering to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve supporting documents for specific accounts and transactions to confirm their authenticity.
- Update and arrange physical finance vouchers in line with Integra references.
- Verify finance data to ensure the accuracy and validity of inventory data.
- Support the stamping and filing of finance vouchers as per IRC’s document retention policy.
- Assist in making mobile money transactions using the YO system and running name verification reports.
- Complete vendor settlement of Integra transactions in the system.
- Manage the online invoice tracker and update the payments tracker for transactions submitted to finance.
- Draft and complete withholding tax schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel.
