Job Description:
Under the direction of the Senior Finance Officer – Payables, the Finance Volunteer is responsible for assisting the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. The role follows IRC’s policies and procedures, adhering to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve supporting documents for specific accounts and transactions to confirm their authenticity.
  • Update and arrange physical finance vouchers in line with Integra references.
  • Verify finance data to ensure the accuracy and validity of inventory data.
  • Support the stamping and filing of finance vouchers as per IRC’s document retention policy.
  • Assist in making mobile money transactions using the YO system and running name verification reports.
  • Complete vendor settlement of Integra transactions in the system.
  • Manage the online invoice tracker and update the payments tracker for transactions submitted to finance.
  • Draft and complete withholding tax schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel.
