About the Company:
KOICA Uganda is a governmental organization established to effective Official Development Assistance (ODA) to enhance the effectiveness of the Republic of Korea’s grant aid programs for Uganda by implementing selected Government grant aid and technical cooperation programs. Since KOICA Uganda Office was founded in 2010 September, we have dispatched 475volunteers from 2011 in different areas such as education, vocational training, agriculture, rural development, health, public administration, forestry and fisheries, and energy industry in order to promote friendly and cooperative relationship, mutual exchanges and supporting of economic and social growth between the government of the Republic of Korea and Uganda.
Job Summary: The Receptionist will be responsible for providing front desk services, including greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, handling mail and office supplies, performing various administrative tasks, and carrying out office cleaning duties to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and provide a professional and courteous reception service.
- Office Cleaning Responsibilities: Daily cleaning of workstations, meeting rooms, break rooms, and restrooms.
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff members.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain the reception area and ensure it is tidy and organized.
- Coordinate and schedule meeting rooms and manage meeting arrangements.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required, such as data entry and filing.
- Provide general support to office staff and handle other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: A diploma in office management, secretarial work, or customer service or relevant qualifications.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Performance Measurement
- Updated and quality communication: Ensure all communications are current, clear, and professional.
- Well-organized and quality filing of project documents: Maintain an organized and systematic filing system for all project-related documents.
- Timely and quality reports: Produce and submit accurate and detailed reports on time.
Level of Compensation
- A gross of up to $350 per month, based on the applicant’s qualifications, inclusive of government tax.
