Reports to: Field Supervisor
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in all training sessions.
- Enter the questionnaires on the personal computer device.
- Treat respondents with malaria as diagnosed by the Laboratory Technicians.
- Provide emotional and psychosocial support to the people in the household.
- Maintain close contact with respondents.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Certificate in Enrolled Nursing/Comprehensive Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a Credit in Maths and English.
- Written and oral fluency in at least one of these local languages: Ateso, Luganda, Lugbara, Luo, Ngakarimojong, Runyankole, Rukiga, Runyoro, Rutoro, Lusoga, Lumasaaba, Rukonjo.
- Prior use of computers or other digital devices for data collection is an added advantage.
Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience, with evidence as an enrolled nurse.
- Participation in socio-economic survey data collection exercises for at least two years.
Skills and Other Attributes:
- Good computer knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Must be available exclusively for the UMIS activity.
