Position Summary:
The Procurement Logistician will manage procurement and logistics activities at the regional level, ensuring the availability of cost-effective resources to support MTI health programming.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Coordination: Oversee regional supply chain activities, including sourcing, transport, warehousing, and asset management.
- Procurement Management: Handle procurement processes according to MTI and donor policies, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
- Budget Management: Manage the regional Operations budget and ensure staff utilize the Unit 4 ERP system for inventory management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise the Operations team, monitor performance, set tasks, and lead meetings.
- Fleet Management: Review fleet reports and recommend solutions for efficient budget utilization.
- Inventory Oversight: Work with the Store Officer to ensure efficient asset tracking.
- Training and System Management: Train staff on the ERP system and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Manage vendor contracts and facilitate timely payments.
- Procurement Planning: Assist in annual procurement planning and track budget versus actuals.
- Market Surveys: Conduct market surveys to monitor local item availability and pricing.
- Compliance: Ensure procurement and disposal activities comply with licenses and documentation requirements.
- Maintenance Monitoring: Oversee infrastructure maintenance and coordinate with the Construction Officer.
- Performance Management: Set clear objectives, provide mentorship, and conduct performance evaluations for staff.
- Safeguarding: Promote safeguarding of program participants and uphold MTI’s code of conduct and workplace policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Certifications: Professional certification in NAVY or CIPS.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience with donor (UN, USAID, etc.) asset and procurement procedures is an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, ERP systems, and procurement.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, budget management, team leadership, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Abilities: High integrity, mentoring ability, organizational skills, and a commitment to MTI’s mission and Code of Conduct.
