Position Overview
Steel Tubes is hiring a Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing customer relationships, driving sales, and contributing to business development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and terms. Provide quotations and brochures.
- Sales Development: Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders.
- Market Research: Initiate market research studies, analyze findings, and identify new business opportunities.
- Sales Agreements: Negotiate terms of sales agreements, close sales, and prepare sales contracts and order forms.
- Customer Feedback: Gather and provide feedback on buying trends to the Business Development Manager.
- Trade Representation: Represent Steel Tubes at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
- Market Monitoring: Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ activities.
- Client Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stockists and customers.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Sales Reporting: Record sales, prepare periodic reports, and communicate with the Business Development Manager.
- Product Exposure: Negotiate with retail merchants for improved product exposure and advertising.
- Credit Information: Obtain and maintain accurate credit information about prospective customers.
- ISO Systems: Understand, implement, and maintain ISO systems within the company.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Educational Background: Degree in Marketing or a related course.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a sales role.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and proficiency in sales strategies.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
- Ensure workplace cleanliness and enforce PPE usage.
- Provide training on environmental maintenance and safety procedures.
- Assist in EHS improvements and corrective actions.
- Promote health and safety, encourage teamwork, and safeguard company systems.
