Job Summary
We are looking for a Sales Consultant – Trucks and Commercial Equipment based in Uganda. The Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving business growth and success in the trucks and bus segment by implementing a strong and sustainable sales strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve truck and commercial equipment sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities, qualify prospects, and advise customers on the best commercial products suited to their needs while maintaining awareness of equipment brands and gathering customer feedback.
  • Promote value-added products and services, such as repair and maintenance contracts, extended warranties, and asset financing.
  • Follow up on inbound telephone inquiries, walk-in prospects, and digital/social media inquiries within response service level agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Provide timely solutions to clients and resolve their concerns effectively.
  • Deliver accurate sales, prospect, and order intake forecasts to support efficient inventory planning.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and reliable customer database, including information on fleet sizes, vehicle composition, renewal cycles, and key contacts.
  • Leverage available training to become a benchmark Sales professional, capable of delivering enthusiastic and knowledgeable presentations on all trucks and commercial equipment products.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or related fields.
  • At least 4 years of sales experience in Commercial Vehicles sales.
  • A valid driving license with a class/code for commercial vehicles is an added advantage.

  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and qualify customer requirements.
  • Confidence in communicating with diverse audiences.
  • A proactive and enterprising spirit with the ability to create and maximize business opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
