About Uganda Investment Authority (UIA)
The Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) is a semi-autonomous government agency partnering with the private sector and the Government of Uganda to drive national economic growth and development. Established by an Act of Parliament (Investment Code 1991, revised to the Edition 2000 Laws of Uganda in 2019), UIA promotes and facilitates private sector investment in Uganda.
Available Positions and Qualifications
- Deputy Director – Research and Planning (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in research, planning, or investment promotion, with 4 years in a senior management role.
- Proven experience in data analysis, report writing, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Investment Executive – Legal / Land Administration (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Land Economics, Land Surveying, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in land administration, legal advisory, or property management.
- Knowledge of land laws, property transactions, and legal procedures in Uganda.
- Membership with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Investment Executive – Accounts/Expenditure (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting.
- Investment Executive – Audit (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, or CPA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or financial compliance.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Investment Executive – Electric Engineering (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical systems, energy management, or industrial installations.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in electrical engineering.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
- Investment Executive – GIS (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Geographical Information Systems, Geography, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with GIS software, mapping, or spatial data analysis.
- Proficiency in GIS applications and spatial data management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Administrative Assistant (1 Position)
Qualifications:- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative roles or office management.
- Strong organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Driver (1 Position)
Qualifications:- A valid driver’s license with classes B, CM, and DL.
- At least 5 years of professional driving experience with a reputable organization.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and a clean driving record.
- Good interpersonal skills and punctuality.
