About UEDCL
The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) is a limited liability company incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act. UEDCL owns all 33kV and below voltage electricity distribution networks and operational assets currently leased to Umeme Ltd. The company is responsible for monitoring Umeme Ltd and other concessionaires in Uganda, is licensed by ERA to distribute electricity in 11 service territories covering over 93 rural and border districts, operates a modern pole plant at Lugogo, and executes key rural electrification schemes on behalf of the Government of Uganda.
Available Positions
- SCADA Engineer (1 Position)
- Role: Design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling electrical distribution systems.
- Qualifications: Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; experience with SCADA systems is preferred.
- Assistant Linesmen (30 Positions)
- Role: Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power lines and equipment.
- Qualifications: Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; relevant experience in line work is an advantage.
- Graduate Trainee Internal Auditor (1 Position)
- Role: Assist in auditing financial and operational activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; strong analytical skills; and a keen interest in auditing.
- Graduate Trainee Finance (1 Position)
- Role: Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities within the organization.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; strong numerical and analytical skills.
