Job Overview:
The Logistics Safety Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and driving the implementation of a proactive road safety management system within the company’s transport operations, including outbound and inbound logistics, people transport, mobile equipment, and site safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in transport audits, prepare corrective actions, and ensure successful closure.
  • Provide technical assistance in the prequalification of transporters and ensure proper fleet maintenance.
  • Implement route hazard mapping, updating regularly, and briefing drivers on route hazards.
  • Oversee accident management, including investigations and reporting, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain and analyze road safety data, deriving actions for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct truck inspections, housekeeping audits, and safety checks at facilities to ensure compliance.
  • Design and implement road safety culture change initiatives and training programs for drivers.
  • Manage journey planning and GPS monitoring, ensuring compliance through road patrols.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a busy commercial environment, preferably in FMCG involving import/export.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for transport safety with a hands-on, proactive approach.
