Job Summary:

The IT & Digital Services Manager will oversee the digital infrastructure, support systems, and IT operations, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the IT environment. This role includes leading the IT support team and managing day-to-day IT operations.

Reports to:

GM Finance and Operations

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure, including both software and hardware.
  • Oversee business-critical IT tasks and system administration.
  • Manage hardware and software inventory.
  • Lead IT project management initiatives within larger business strategies.
  • Evaluate and adopt relevant emerging technologies that align with organizational needs.
  • Catalyse the adoption of digital technology to support future business needs and innovation.
  • Identify business opportunities that support the digital transformation strategy.
  • Oversee and support innovation across business platforms.
  • Proactively implement measures to protect the business against cybersecurity and other potential exposures.
  • Manage IT systems, platforms, and solutions, identifying and implementing areas for improvement.
  • Implement and execute disaster planning strategies, including backups.
  • Ensure data and infrastructure security and adherence to the Data Protection Act.
  • Manage incidents and problems to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Oversee IT-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain updated hardware and software inventories.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, and appraising their performance against KPIs.
  • Implement team time management schedules, including rotas and leave.
  • Coordinate and implement organizational policies and procedures.
  • Address and implement audit findings related to ICT and digital technology.
  • Handle the IT and digital technology annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Professional: Microsoft certification (MCSE or MCITP), ITIL v4. Cybersecurity certification is an added advantage.
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant working experience.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across departments.
  • Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Data Management: Expertise in data centre management and data governance.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team in designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining IT solutions and initiatives.
