Job Overview:
The Clinical Officer will work under the supervision of the health facility in-charge, providing on-site clinical mentorship, support supervision, and continuous professional development to staff at the facility. The role involves delivering healthcare services at the health facility and in the community while collaborating with health implementing partners in the settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily clinical assessments and prescribe treatment for patients.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient history, examination findings, and treatment.
  • Refer complex cases to the doctor in charge or on call, providing relevant information for clinical management.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures in the outpatient minor theatre.
  • Participate in weekly Continuous Medical Education (CME) sessions.
  • Cover on-call duties as required and participate in camp health surveys and campaigns.
  • Assist in morning ward rounds and bedside teaching for junior staff.
  • Ensure accurate inventory of medicines and supplies, monitoring their usage.
  • Collaborate with other cadres to deliver quality healthcare.
  • Provide health talks to patients and carry out other relevant duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Registration and license with the Allied Health Professionals Council (documentation required).
  • Experience working in a refugee settlement or similar humanitarian setting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in health project implementation.
  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating.
  • High standards of quality, ethics, and integrity.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and stress management skills.
