Nation Media Group is Uganda’s leading media house, operating NTV, Spark TV, Daily Monitor, Saturday Monitor, Sunday Monitor, The East African Newspapers, 93.3 KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM, and Nation Courier service.
JOB PURPOSE:
To transport staff, deliver newspapers, and parcels to various destinations safely and securely within set deadlines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive staff/deliver newspapers and parcels to various destinations as assigned.
- Maintain the vehicle in clean and top mechanical condition.
- Monitor distances covered, book vehicle for service, and ensure timely servicing.
- Maintain a work log for each assignment and record distances covered.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report defects for immediate rectification.
- Fuel the vehicle and take care of tools and accessories.
- Check duty roster, routes, and assigned vehicles.
- Sort and load parcels ensuring first-in-last-out order for efficient drops en route.
- Sign off loading strip list and depart for destination within set deadline.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Academic: O’ Level Certificate (Uganda Certificate of Education) or equivalent.
- Professional: Valid driver’s license with at least 2 classes (e.g., CM or DL).
- Experience: 3-5 years working experience as a company driver.

- Proficiency in English language.
- Results-driven with ability to work within deadlines.
- High personal standards.
- Mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
