Description of purpose:
To provide efficient and safe transportation of stock supplies/items with the use of a forklift, ensuring smooth flow of stores operations
Key Result Areas:
• Load & off-load supplies within the established rules and regulations ensuring no items are damaged during the process.
• Accurate transfer of items from the warehouse to the factory ensuring no stock mix up.
• Ensure routine fork lift maintenance to ensure a smooth flow of operations
• Take note of all stock items movements on the factory floor and make a report to the Senior Accountant-Stores.
• Assist with the parceling of Newspaper returns in 20 kgs bundles for sale.
• Load delivered supplies/items into the main store and place them in their respective locations Liaise with the transport and commercial printing offices to avail the forklift for any stock transfers
• Adhere to safety rules and guidelines while operating the forklift.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
• A Uganda Certificate of Education (Ordinary level Certificate).
• A valid driving permit with at least three classes: G, B, CM and DL
Working Experience:
• At least 2 years of driving experience. Communications and working relations:

• Work with Printing department to ensure timely materials to the factory for production. Scope of impact:
• Careful operation of forklift not to damage materials which are costly inputs to the business
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Technical Competences:
• Forklift driving skills.
• Possess a high regard for safety standards and equipment in the workplace.
• Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanism.
