Terms of Employment: The assignment shall be for a period of two years subject to a probation period of six months, and may be renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Job Purpose:

Effective delivery of procurement services to the project.

Key Functions:

  • Assist with the preparation of requests for quotation, invitations to bid, requests for proposal, and coordinate their timely dispatch.
  • Assist the procurement officer in maintaining current and up-to-date procurement documents and manuals.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the joint program procurement plan and identifying procurement-related priorities.
  • Coordinate with the selected bidder to ensure completion of administrative processes, including bid security, contract award notice, and distribution of contract documents.
  • Manage the administrative process throughout the preparation of all documentation until the award of the contract.
  • Maintain appropriate records to ensure that the procurement process, decisions, and contractual agreements are accurately documented for accountability and audit purposes.
  • Regularly update a database of contract documentation, terms of references, and a list of suppliers of goods and services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or a related field.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS).

Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of work experience in project administration with an emphasis on procurement and contracting management.
  • Relevant work experience with the World Bank and/or other international development organizations is an added advantage.
