Overview: St. Francis Hospital Nkokonjeru, supported by Makerere University Walter Reed Project, seeks two Data Clerks to manage and report data for a comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment program. This role involves accurate data entry, reporting, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care services.

Position Title: Data Clerk (2)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter patient information and medical records into the Health Facility’s electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of both paper and electronic data.
  • Lead routine data cleaning processes to enhance data quality.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports to MoH, PEPFAR, and other program partners.
  • Utilize the Health Facility’s EMR system for data entry, retrieval, and reporting.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, Statistics, Medical Records, or related field. A Degree is an added advantage.
    • Experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare setting, is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
    • Experience using Microsoft Excel, DHIS2, and other data collection and reporting tools.
  • Desirable:
    • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Fluency in English and commonly spoken local languages is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Availability:

  • Ability to travel on water.
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle is an added advantage.
  • Ability to reside in Buvuma/Nyenga.

Supervisory Controls:

  • The Data Clerk will be supervised by the Data Officer.
