Overview: St. Francis Hospital Nkokonjeru, supported by Makerere University Walter Reed Project, seeks two Data Clerks to manage and report data for a comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment program. This role involves accurate data entry, reporting, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care services.
Position Title: Data Clerk (2)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter patient information and medical records into the Health Facility’s electronic systems.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of both paper and electronic data.
- Lead routine data cleaning processes to enhance data quality.
- Generate accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely submission of required reports to MoH, PEPFAR, and other program partners.
- Utilize the Health Facility’s EMR system for data entry, retrieval, and reporting.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Essential:
- Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, Statistics, Medical Records, or related field. A Degree is an added advantage.
- Experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare setting, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, DHIS2, and other data collection and reporting tools.
- Desirable:
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and commonly spoken local languages is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Availability:
- Ability to travel on water.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle is an added advantage.
- Ability to reside in Buvuma/Nyenga.
Supervisory Controls:
- The Data Clerk will be supervised by the Data Officer.
