Job Summary:
Accountable to the Board of Directors, the General Manager (GM) will provide leadership, strategic direction, and tactical oversight to all of Magnum Security’s functions. The GM will ensure close coordination between teams to align services with customer requirements and other business imperatives. The GM is responsible for quality assurance and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) legislation, ensuring international best practices in security management are implemented to establish and maintain a compelling brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve short and long-term company goals.
- Supervise all staff to ensure excellent service and positive business results.
- Drive business development and revenue growth by identifying new opportunities in Manned Security operations through an integrated security solutions approach.
- Report to the Directors, providing strategic advice and ensuring they are properly informed to facilitate appropriate judgment and decision-making.
- Develop and implement business plans to improve overall efficiency, manage their effective implementation, and adapt objectives and plans accordingly.
- Create, communicate, and implement the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction.
- Oversee staff weekly activity plans and meetings, ensuring strict follow-up on individual deliverables.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal control systems and proper implementation of processes and systems.
- Maintain positive relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities.
- Act as a liaison between different groups, effectively linking the board with employees, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Strengthen service delivery to new business and continuously monitor to ensure service delivery is not compromised to all clients.
- Encourage innovation to ensure the company continues to build growth and deliver value to all stakeholders.
- Empower and support teams to develop new ways to deliver business value and to clients.
- Lead senior management in building brand recognition, reputation, and industry position through continuous marketing promotions.
- Inspire and motivate teams to understand and ‘live’ company values.
- Assess the company’s risk environment and ensure these risks are monitored and mitigated.
- Build and manage a credible senior management team to drive continuous high performance, challenge business strategy, ensure career growth, optimize growth, and maximize margin.

Role Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in business, marketing, law, management, or a related field with five years of experience in a security setting.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Security professional with proven management experience within the security industry, public sector, or armed services.
- Enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong, trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, and engagement skills.
- Basic IT skills with a working knowledge of MS Office packages and knowledge of electronic security systems.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with a ‘hands-on’, problem-solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
- Excellent in developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
