Job Summary: The Audit and Certification Officer will be responsible for ensuring company products and processes meet specific standards set by regulatory bodies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal Company Policies as required by regulatory bodies
- Ensure the processes and products are compliant with set standards
- Proper documentation and Standardization of company Policies
- and Procedures in accordance with regulatory requirement.
- Make regular reports on matters related to certification and compliance
- Carry out internal audits of the company from time to time to
- ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Responsible for coordinating external audits of the company
- Analyze audit results and prepare reports.
- Develop and implement training Programs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Diploma/certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage
- An understanding of the floriculture industry, including production processes, supply chain dynamics, market trends, and sustainability practices.
- In-depth knowledge of major certifications such as ISO, Its SO, GAP, Greencare and Green compliance
- Knowledge in certification processes, auditing, risk and compliance assessment,
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong sense of urgency and achievement (result oriented)
- Fluent in English/ Luganda is an added advantage
- Must have impeccable character and high integrity.
